Who we are
ChemistNear ("we", "us") runs this website, an independent pharmacy finder. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- When you tap "Use my location", your browser shares your approximate position with the page. It's used in your browser to sort pharmacies by distance. It isn't sent to us or stored.
- Suburb and postcode searches run in your browser. We don't keep them.
- If you email us, we keep your message and email address to reply, and for as long as we need to deal with your request.
We don't ask for your name, health details or contact details to use the site, and we don't have accounts.
Cookies and tracking
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add privacy-friendly visitor statistics in future, we'll update this policy first.
Our hosting provider
The site is served through a hosting and security network. Like every website, it receives technical details with each page request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page asked for, and uses them to deliver the site, block attacks and keep it fast. These records are kept for a short period.
Links to other sites
Directions open in a maps service, and some pages link to other websites. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave ChemistNear.
Sharing and overseas storage
We don't sell or share personal information. Our hosting and email providers may store data on servers outside Australia, and we use providers that protect it to a standard similar to Australian law.
Access, correction and complaints
To ask what we hold about you, correct it, or make a complaint, email hello@chemplus.com.au. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
