How it works at a pharmacy

Get a kit
People aged 45 to 74 can get one free through the national program. Many pharmacies also sell kits, which are separate from the program.
Do the test at home
Follow the instructions in the kit. It takes small samples from two separate bowel motions.
Post it back
Send the samples back as the kit explains. Results go to you and your doctor.

People aged 45 to 74 with a Medicare or DVA card. From 50, a kit is mailed to you every two years. From 45 to 49 you can request your first kit online or by phone, or ask your GP.
